Does Big Data automatically lead to Deep Understanding?

What are the dangers of extending our data set when our context is unique and richly individual?

Artificial Intelligence PhD holder and Data Practice Lead for Alscient, Dr Dom Despotakis, will summarise the benefits as well as the pitfalls of using Big Data. Drawing on a range of real-world scenarios he will challenge the use of large volumes of data in certain business contexts.

This is bound to be a thought-provoking session, and Dom will be drawing on the audience’s own experience as we work towards a perspective on these fascinating topics.

Tea, coffee, orange juice, croissants and croque monsieur will fuel our discussions.

Like all our Big Data Week events, attendance is free but pre-booking is essential and booking reference must be brought with you to the event.

Just click on the button to fill in the short registration form and we will confirm your place. Email Katherine.pomfret@alscient.com with any questions about the event.
